server.
I installed 6.5 first, coppied a backup of a database to the server and

wizzard.

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to determine if I have fixed an upgrade
warning. If I delete the green text then the upgrade warning goes away.
However, I would expect it to come back after I rebuild if I haven't changed
any of the code. Can anyone clarify what actions to take with the upgrade
warnings?
Thanks

I read lots of stuff on MSDN relating to upgrading a COM
Dll build using VB6 to VB.Net. Its seems to be a very easy
task. As per few articles when we open vb6 application
in .Net framework upgrade wizard is invoked. The wizard
gives us option to create DLL (option to create EXE is
grayed). Then articles says that if we want methods of
public classes to be converted to interface methods check
the box for Generate Interfaces For Classes....

Hi All
I know that if SQL 6.5 was on a server and you then install SQL 2000 on it
you get the wizard option to upgrade an SQL 6.5 DB to 2000, but I don't have
the luxury of this.
I have an SQL 6.5 DB, which I want to convert, but only SQL 2000 on my
server.
Do you know what options I have available to me to perform this upgrade with

Hi,
I am trying to use the Upgrade Wizard in SQL 2000 to upgrade a SQL 6.5 db to
2000. I am only choosing to update a single database, not system objects.
The Upgrade wizard connects to SQL 6.5, checks the db, creates the db on SQL
2000 with all tables and imports users from SQL 6.5. The problem comes when
it tries to bring over the actual data. I get an error:
"Couldn't connection to the export machine!" in the out log file.
The in...

I attempted to upgrade to SQL Server 2000 from SQL Server 6.5 using
the SQL Server Upgrade Wizard and I immediately received the following
error message:
An unknown error occurred while trying to restart your SQL Server
2000. Please check the server errorlog and try again.
I've checked the SQL Server log and all of the logs available in the
Event Viewer and I don't see anything remarkable in any of them. Does
anyone have any...

Hi group,
after waiting more than 4 month in the .upgrade group for an answer, I dare
to ask here. :-)
I open a VB6 project in VB 2008 (express) and have the Wizard convert it. It
also creates the necessary interop assemblies for the referenced ActiveX
dlls.
Problem: the interop assemblies are not imported the way they should. The

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
