I'm using managed directx. I made a KeyFrameInterpolator object. And
get a exception above. I think it is because GC reconize
KeyFrameInterpolator object as Pinned object. So I added next line.
---------
System.Runtime.InteropServices.GCHandle.Alloc(myKeyFrameInterpolator,System.Runtime.InteropServices.GCHandleType.Normal);
---------
I set it as Normal. But I got the same Exception. I don't know what
the Handle means.(Handle is not...

Help! I am new to Visual Basic .Net (version 2002) and I am trying to get a
System.Timers.Timer to work for me to display a splash screen for about two
seconds and then load the main form. I have two forms (frmSplash and
frmMain) and a code Module setup as my startup object.
Here is the code that I have, when I try to run this part of the splash
screen form shows and then program terminates. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,

I have a webservice that I wanted to return an ArrayList..Well the service
compiles and runs when I have the output defined as ArrayList, but the WSDL
defines the output as an Object so I was having a problem in the calling
program. I searched online and found suggestions that I return an Array
instead so I modified my code (below) to return an Array instead of an
ArrayList. Now I get the message when I try to run just my webservice...

I created a Web Service: I imported System.Data.SqlClient so I could
access SQL server tables programmatically. The web service builds and
deploys with no problems. When I try to add the corresponding Web
Reference to the Web Site project I get the error listed below.
I am able to create other Web Services on the same server and I am able
to add Web Referneces to them. I have narrowed it down to the "Imports
System.Data.SqlClient"...

Hi, guys!
I need a C++ class (Linux/POSIX/GNU C++), which can be started and stopped,
and calls a virtual callback instance method (e.g. "expired()") when a
given time has elapsed. High resolution means that expire time should be
measured in microseconds, or at least in milliseconds.
I had a look on Gnu C <sys/time.h>'s functions getitimer and setitimer, but
these all use a signal (SIGALRM) to notify expiration, and I don't know the...

Hi,
this morning found that my Service had crashed, and the error was
"Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: The
ConnectionString property has not been initialized". I have no clue
WHY the ConnectionString wouldn't be initialized as I do not play with
anything near it in my code. my service is running perfectly from last
few years, and the same code executed millions of time. I am using VS
2003, .net 1.1.
Do you have any...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
