Anyone having experience with Kevin Gill's TWAIN module (from
www.sourceforge.org)?
Seems that a user MUST be logged in on the computer (Windows 2000) to be
able to scan on a TWAIN-scanner?
Trying to create a network-attached scanner service, so I would like to
avoid having a user logged in on the scanner-computer.

Is there a simple way of opening a text file from a server, and reading from
it line by line?
IE
http://someserver/file.txt contains a couple of hundred lines. Each line is
the name of a file. I want to read this list of files into an array of
strings. I don't have any control over the creation of file.txt so I really
need to be able to read from it in it's existing format, a list of files
seperated by carriage returns.

I have recently had the pleasure of installing Norton Internet Security 2005
and finding that I can no longer create or open a web-based application in
Visual Studio .Net. The IDE just freezes. I tried fiddling with the

I have written an HTTPModule to authenticate the pages which are under
an virtual directory. Virtual directory is pointing to a folder which
is in network. So I have place the http module .dll files /bin in
network folder. All these are done on windows 2003 machine. Currently I
get security errors, but I want the .dll should be in the local machine
rather than network path.
