I have developed a small API for taking care of a lot of boiler plate stuff
in a multi formed windows application, for example setting up a messaging
thread framework.
New Forms, in the appllication using the API, are subclassed to a Form
contained within the API, and they are controlled (controlled in this
instance means, kept alive, displayed and hidden) at runtime by a thread
whose responsibility is this sole task.
In order to run...

Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right NG to post this question. If
that's the case please point me to the correct NG.
I have a class library(myLib.dll) which has a class(myClass) which has a
method(myClassMethod) that creates a form with a button on it. The
application that calls the dll is a windows application(myWinApp).
When in myWinApp I do, myClass.myClassMethod, a form is created.

Hi,
I have the following problem:
I have a .CFM web page and I have to populate, from VB, two textboxes on it.
I
was thinking using sendkeys (even if I don't like it too much) but when I
open the web browser and navigate to the selected page, I cannot set the
focus to the html part of the control (only the web control takes the focus)
so I can't use sendkeys to populate the fields I need.

Hi
I have a math kinda problem where I'm trying to split some lines when two or
more lines connect two shapes. The reason I am doing this is to make it
clear that there are multiple lines connecting the two shapes.

Image 1 shows how if you have a line between two shapes, the line is
straight. if you have more than one line, the lines will start overlapping

I'm having trouble with PHP & PostgreSQL/OpenLDAP/Apache on Windows.
I've set this up countless times on BSD (piece of cake) but I'm trying
to do this on Windows now so that my developer can work on her local
machine.
Everything looks pretty good. OpenLDAP/cygwin works great. PostgreSQL
works great. Apache runs. PHP runs.
But when I try to connect to my PostgreSQL server using PHPPgAdmin, I

Can someone tell me how I can move an object, in this case a listbox, over a
form. The code below works, but not when the form is custom sized. It works
perfectly when the form is maximized. And what is the best way to give the
object boundries to move within?
Hope someone can help me.
TIA,
Arjan.

I am trying to move some of our large VBA Access front-end file into
ActiveX DLL files. I created two DLL files so far, one was a module
that contains code to integrate into the QuickBooks accounting
software. Another has general utilities.
I tried referencing the utilities dll, and it shows up in the object
explorer. I instantiated an instance of the class and now it shows up
all okay in the Intellisense. Whenever I try to run a simple...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
