I have created a windows service in C#, .net framework 1.1
The service makes a web request using the
mshtml.HTMLDocument.CreateDocumentFromURL() function
Because this is not using Windows.Forms, I can't use the
Application.DoEvents() function while the request is completing. Is there
an equivilent function (call the CreateDocumentFromURL from a seperate
thread and spin it until Document.readyState != "complete"?

I have a Class Library that contains a Form and several helper classes. A
thread gets created that performs processing of data behind the scenes and
the Form never gets displayed (it is for debug puposes only and is not
normally visable to the user.) The Thread function is actually in the Form
class.
Now.. What I am seeing is that when I create an instance of this Class
Library's Form, which starts the worker thread, it seems to hose up...

I used to be able to create PDFs, automatically save them to a file,
and mail them out to people. This was on Access 97 with Windows NT.
We've changed to Windows XP and Access 2003. Doesn't work anymore.
Part of the problem is that the users have no access to the registry
and can only save files on the C:\ drive to their My Documents folder.

Hi All,
I wrote a windows service which is supposed to stop after specified amount
of time. I am calling OnStop() after specified time. OnStop() methods
executed but I dont see the service stopping.
Please advise how to stop the service.

I need help in trying to access a web page from a windows service. I've actually already built a windows application (vb.net) that does this using the AxSHDocVw.AxWebBrowser class. The code works perfectly in the windows application, but when I use the code in a windows service, the code doesn't work!
I'm assuming this is because somehow the AxWebBrowser needs a desktop context to interact with (e.g. AxWebBrowser.Navigate)....
