I'm trying to send a packet of binary data to a UDP server. If I send a text string, it works fine. If I attempt to send binary data, it sends a UDP packet with 0 bytes of data (just the headers). I can see this because I'm running Ethereal and watching the packets. I'm defining the packets as shown below: $text_msg = "Hello, world\r\n"; $binary_msg = chr(0x01).chr(0x02).chr(0x03).chr(0x00).chr(0xA0); $binary_msg_size = 5;

I have an exchange server, that I sometimes use to perform mail shots to clients on our database, these can be upwards of 1000 at a time. As we don't want different clients to see who we are working with we put these mailshots in the bcc field of the mails. This can sometimes cause a problem as we are getting alot of mails bounced back. I would like to write a script to have these emails sent out individually using the to: field of the...

Hi, Im trying to cancle a specific printjob via code on a remote machine. the remote machine i a win2000 machine. Ive tried using System.Management , wmi but apparently im only allowed to delete jobs if the remote machine is a win XP machine. Ive also found some native api's for this.. however , those do not allow username and password so i assume they make the call as the current user (which is not allowed to delete jobs in my case)

I want to change the Username/owner of a printjob in the spoolfile. I know I have to use the SetJob function in the winspool.drv and that I have to declare this by adding the following to my class: Declare Function SetJob Lib "winspool.drv" (ByVal hPrinter As IntPtr, ByVal JobId As Integer, ByVal Level As Integer, ByRef pJob As Byte, ByVal Command_Renamed As Integer) But how do I use this to change the owner/username of a print job?

Hi, I'm using the MailMessage & smtpMail classes in System.Web.Mail to send mail, however it's not sending any emails. I'm using it on a Windows 2003 server. The simplest way to use this is smtpMail.Send("from@here.com", to@there.com, "Message subject", "Message Body") I'm sending it to my own email address on a different server using a dummy

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
