What is the non-obsolete way to do the same thing?

I have this code below, that works like a champ, but two lines are
continually marked as obsolete. See embeded notes.

Private Shared Function TransformHTMLSt ring(ByVal XSLT As String, _
ByVal XHTML As String) _
As String
Dim xdoc As Xml.XmlDocument = New Xml.XmlDocument
xdoc.LoadXml(XH TML)

Dim xsDoc As Xml.XmlDocument = New XmlDocument
xsDoc.LoadXml(X SLT)

'Both lines that are marked as obsolete are tagged that way
'by VS.Net2003. It is because I am passing an XMLDocument
'rather than a resolver

Dim xformer As Xml.Xsl.XslTran sform = New Xml.Xsl.XslTran sform
xformer.Load(xs Doc) 'Marked as obsolete

Dim writer As StringWriter = New StringWriter
xformer.Transfo rm(xdoc, Nothing, writer) 'Marked as obsolete

Dim rtf As String = writer.ToString ()
writer.Close()
Return rtf
End Function

What is the non-obsolete way to do the same thing?

Hiya. My CEO wants me to think about the direction the company's product should take. He has a bunch of guys offshore that develop with .NET, and he is keen to use them to build our product completely in a WAPI environment, completely web based. Presently we are using citrix to serve our clients a product that is developed in house using proprietry language, with a backend that is running on Linux using C-Isam (soon to be...

I ran into a table that is used a lot. Well less than 100,000 records. Maybe not a lot of records but i believe this table is used often. The table has 26 fields, 9 indexes but no Primary Key at all! There are no table relationships defined in this database, no Natural keys, only Surrogate keys in the database. 1- Maybe an odd question but is it normal to have 1/3 of the table's fields as indexes? Is this a valid question or it really

Hi everyone Has anyone got the least experience in integrating the Digital Signature with an ASP.NET Web Application? Here in Denmark, as I supose in many other countries, they're promoting the digital signature. A lot of people already has one, to do their taxes, and much more. I have to use for a business-to-business e-commerce solution, where it's vital that the right user is being logged on, and not give his username and password...

I have searched but info is limitted. In my test app i used a non persistant cookie for forms authentication. slidingExpiration is set to true On run and close and rerun the login remains ok. I have a time-out of one minute and indeed, it directs me to the login if i wait to long. The slidingExpiration does it's work also.

I found the example code below, listed in the book described here: http://cartan.cas.suffolk.edu/moin/OopDocbookWiki The result was a bit surprising. I guess it falls into the category of "that's what you get for lying". Can the behavior demonstrated be explained in standardese? Yes, I know the exact result is "undefined behavior". I can see what happened. But what was the actual violation? // Miles are converted to kilometers....

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
