G'day,
After doing much searching and pinching bits of ideas from here there and
everywhere I came up with a fairly 'clean' solution of including a comboBox
into a dataGrid column.
You can download a fully working C# sample with the Northwind.mdb here:

My Program: a local C# ADO.Net application using VS 2003
Right now I have about 5 ComboBox's which provides drop down selection
entries from the same MS-Access table via a DataConnection, DataAdapter and
DataSet datasource. Each CB has it's own DA and DS. When I tried to use the
same DS as the datadource for each of the five CB's, changing one of the CB's
selection affectd the other four CB's.
New business requirements require I...

I have an ArryList that I'm using as a datasource for a combobox. As an item is selected in the combobox and processed I'd like to remove it from the combobox. When I try I get an error stating that the arraylist is being used as a datasource and can't be updated. I can't remove it as the datasource for the combobox so I can update it and reassign it back as the datasource. Anyone got a workaround?

I need some sample code showing how to manipulate data in my access database
using C#. This is what Im trying to do:
Dropdownlist with datagrid both bound to datasource. When the drop down list
value changes - the datagrid values change accordingly. I managed to get
this working by setting the currencymanager to the dropdownlist
selectedIndex (which is probably the wrong way to do it, bu the datagrid
seems to update its values correctly)...

VS2005
I've been reading all the help I can on the topic (MSDN, other) but I
can't make sense of this.
Desired behavior;
The user is to choose from the displayed list of the databound combobox
and the coresponding 'Id' from the lookup table is to be inserted into
the field of the new record.
I have two simple tables. "tblPerson" is the data table. The lookup

This problem should be simple.
I am using Visual Studio 2003, Version 1.1
I am writing a desktop application in which I am binding a DataTable
to the DataSource of a ComboBox.
// I have 50 rows (concerning states) in dataTable.Rows;

Hi All!
I am with a situation where I am not getting the right updating to the
form's fields. The situation is the following one:
I have one combobox and one textbox. I am using the CurrentChanged event of
the BindingSource of the combobox to update the textbox. When selecting an
item in the combobox or when selecting a row in the grid, it is updating the
textbox correctly. The problem is when I apply a filter in the grid, and then...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
