Warning: The dependancy ... cannot be copied to the run directory...

When I run my Test application I get the following error:

Warning: The dependency 'MyCompany.Util ities, Version=1.0.185 2.27525,
Culture=neutral ' in project 'MyCompany.Remo te' cannot be copied to the run
directory because it would overwrite the reference 'MyCompany.Util ities,
Version=1.0.185 2.27795, Culture=neutral '.

MyCompany.Utili ties, MyCompany.Remot e, are class libraries (compiled to DLL)
I created in a "common" solution. I added these projects and references to
my Test application so I could test them. When I run my appliation I get
the above warning. When I make a call to a method contained in a class in
MyCompany.Remot e, it triggers an exception (which is basically the same
error above).

If I set "Copy Local" to false on the added MyCompany.Utili ties references
and MyCompany.Remot e reference in those projects, but leave the Startup
Project (Test app) references to "Copy Local" = True -- I don't get the
warning, but my Test app will still crash as soon as it references a class
method within MyCompany.Remot e.

Can someone offer any suggestions? And/Or tell me why "Copy Local" is even
a option for Added References?

Not sure how to proceed with this -- remove all my Added projects (class
libraries) and re-add them to my Test app? Manually copy my shared DLLs
(class libaries) into my Test app dir?

If .NET has one major weakness, it is the IDE and file management -- it
wants to copy different versions of files everywhere. Argh!! Frustrating!

hi, We've added the 2.0 application block to a couple of our asp.net web applications and we receive the warning text at the bottom of this message during the build phase. We know for certain this is the 2.0 data block even when we look at the properties of the ref link or the data block's dll. So what's wrong? Thanks

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
