Hello, I'm relatively new to C and have gone through more than 4 books
on it. None mentioned anything about integral promotion, arithmetic
conversion, value preserving and unsigned preserving. And K&R2
mentions "signed extension" everywhere.
Reading some old clc posts, I've beginning to realize that these books
are over-generalizing the topic. I am just wondering what the

I'm using the xpburncd dll from MS, but I'm not using it as a usercontrol;
rather, I am simply referring to it thus:
Dim oburn As New XPBurnCD
This works fine, but I also want to trap its events - eg, addprogress,
burncomplete, etc - so that I can develop a progressbar and announce current
status in a label. How can I do this?

I'm trying to use the xpburn component. It worked - the first time. Now I
get
Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040225
No matter what I do. I removed it and reinstalled; I rebooted; nothing
helps.
Any ideas?
