Gaffar,

A (old) snippet sample I once made for this.

\\\
Dim Sql As String = "SELECT * from A, B Where " & _
"A.n = B.n"
Dim Conn As New OleDbConnection (connString)
Dim da As New OleDbDataAdapte r(Sql, Conn)
da.Fill(ds, "A")
da.Fill(ds, "B")
Conn.Close()
Dim drlA As New DataRelation _
("AA", ds.Tables("A"). Columns("A.n"), _
ds.Tables("B"). Columns("B.n"))
ds.Relations.Ad d(drlA)
Dim dv As New DataView(ds.Tab les("A"))
DataGrid1.DataS ource = ds
DataGrid1.Expan d(-1)
////
When this snippet is to short, I have others as well.

I hope this helps,

Cor

Hi folks, how would you design a 1:1 relation ? I'd like to split an entities's attributes because they won't get equally frequently requested. So I can save memory and disk access time. The integrity of the splitted record should be retained. The key points would be:

Hi there, I have a dataset with two tables. They both have two columns which are related (sort of a joined key). I know how to create one relation: ds.Relations.Add("myrelation", ds.Tables.Columns, ds.Tables.Columns);

Hi all I'm a former Access developer who would like to implement a many-to-many relation in about the same way you do in Access: With a subform and a combo box. Is it possible to use a combobox in a datagrid? Any other suggestions/articles on how to implement many-many relations in the frontend (which of course are 2 one-many relations)?

I have two tables that are linked by 2 fields (ID1 and ID2). Is it possible to create this relation once the tables are in a DataSet? I can create a relation using a single field, but I don't know if this is possible with multiple fields. Thanks,

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
