Combobox always dropdown even when not focus?

Jon
Hi,

How to make a combobox that always show as dropdown even when user click on
other places of the windows form?
By setting combobox.dropdo wn = TRUE.

This work if the focus is on the combobox, but once the user click on other
places of the window form, it automatically hide itself.....

any ideas? Many thanks.

Then you should use ListBox rather than ComboBox.

Howdy, all. Appreciate your help. Have a one to many relation between a client and visit table. In the visit subform, I have a visittype and counselor field which are comboboxes. If I set either field to drop down via Me.dropdown in the GotFocus event for the field, each time the client record changes the visittype or counselor field drops down - only have the GotFocus event set to one combobox at the moment - unless I move the cursor...

For fun, I am developing a combobox control look-alike. The only way that I was able to accomplish creating a dropdown list was to basically show up a form right underneath my custom combobox that acts as the dropdown. This form does not have any borders on it and it only hosts a list box control so it looks like a real dropdown.

I've looked high and low for some code that will allow me to have a combobox with a flat borderstyle. I found a few examples, but nothing that was really usable for me. I had the following criteria that I wanted to meet, but nothing did: - No reliance on a separate library - No unmanaged code - Easy subclassing of System.Windows.Forms.Combobox (i.e. no custom control monstrosity) - No extra funky features that I didn't need

Hello (again), Within my datagrid I add a control to the datagridtextboxcolumn when the underlying textbox receives focus as follows: Combobox1.Size = New Size(Datagrid1.GetCurrentCellBounds().Width + 3, combobox1.Size.Height) sender.Controls.Add(Combobox1) This works great. The problem is that when focus is set on the

Hi I am still having problems with Tabbing through a DataGrid with a DataGridComboBox Column. I need to allow the User to Type the value into the ComboBox so consequently its ComboBoxStyle is set to DropDown. This causes the Tabbing to work incorrectly. Even though I am consuming the Windows Message WM_KEYUP, it still Tabs through the ComboBox Column on to the next Column. I found if I do not give the keyboard focus ie remark out...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
