Hi
I've installed the "free" ComponentOne software in the VB Resource Kit,
however, I don't seem to be able to see any of the items in the ToolBox e.g.
Chart. I can run the example files but don't know hot to drop a Chart, for
example, onto a form. Does anybody know how to do this?
Thanks in advance

You need to manually add the components to your tool box.
Right click on the toolbox, choose Add Tab - name the tab anything you
like.
Expand the tab, right click again, add component. Select the .NET tab,
select Browse. Find the ComponentOne installation directory and install all
the DLLs.

FYI
I've noticed my registration code doesn't take unless I've added at least
one control to the toolbox. (In others words, the nag screen would continue
to appears even after I entered a registration code.)

I have recently installed ComponentOne controls from VB.NET resource kit. I
am using the ComponentOne Chart control to chart data in my windows forms
application. Could someone please tell me how I can chart data in my
DataTable object? Also I could not find help files for ComponentOne controls.
When I press F1 for help it doesn’t show anything.
Thanx

Hello,
I've just been looking at the free PayPal component from ComponentOne
and am somewhat amazed how insecure it is. They include all the
transaction details in plain text in the querystring, meaning that any
rank novice can click the Buy button on your site, then when the PayPal
page loads, change the amount for the transaction and press Enter. This
reloads the page with the new amount. This is so obvious that anyone
could do it.

My box is single processor 2.4G P4 with XP pro.
VS.net 2003 installed.
I downloaded the MSDN VB.net resource kit. And requested a S/N from
ComponentOne for the install of the studio controls.
Install of Resource kit is fine. When I went to install the
ComponentOne controls I entered the license key they sent me when
requested. (Which is my fault because I didn't READ the directions
first...) Then I get the 1720 error saying stuff...

I am trying to convert QuickBasic and dos batch files into VB.NET. I
downloaded the resource kit along with the free ComponentOne Zip classes.
The examples that came with the zip utility were not real helpful as I am
relatively new to VB.NET. I need to unzip a file composed of about 20 text
files. Once the file is unzipped, I have a form which allows the user to
edit one of the unzipped text files. I then save the edited version and now...

Hi everyone,
We're needing to pick a suite of components for our C#/VS 2005 development.
Top on our list is a treeview that integrates with a datagrid. I think all
the big goes provide that.
Does anyone know which suite is the "best" or are they (Infragistics,
ComponentOne, DevExpress, other) all about the same?
Thanks for any insight or opinion.

Hi,
I am using the ComponentOne tool for developping an automatisation of
reporting. My problem is that when i try to export the report, using
the printviewer of C1, it does it really well but not all of it. I
don't know why but it's killing the field that i have put in the
footer.
I have put a single field in the footer and when i export the Report to
RFT format it dispatch me that field in twenty fields... has anybody

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
