transparent control & z-order (bug?)

I created a program that loads bob powell's transparent control onto a form.
I load 3 of them each with their own color and partly over each other.

when i now set the zorder by using bringtofront at runtime by using buttons
on the screen nothing happens.

when i change the bringtofront in setchildindex (object,0) 'front
something happens with the zorder of these 3 elements but not what you would
expect. when i bring element 2 to the front, number 1 is actually in front
and behind it number 2.....

Has anybody experienced this kind of problems with transparent controls???

Hi, From what I read from the PHP manual, chmod on a Windows platform should have no effect, and that seems totally normal (unless someone on sourceforge has a windows port of that!). I create a directory on my Windows box, and set chmod 777 on it (that should be full access for everyone if my memory serves me correctly), but when I...

Before i post actual code, as i need a speedyish reply. Can i first ask if anyone knows off the top of their head, if there is a likely obvious cause to the following problem. For the moment i've reduced my form request to a simple text string entry, instead of my desired optional parameters. As i have been stuck with a single unfathomable...

I'm using Stephen Lebans' RTF2 control in a report, and have discovered what may be a slight bug in it. I have a lot of non-Western language (Chinese) text in my RTF field, and such records get sized strangely using the .RTFHeight property of the control. Specifically, lines of text get cut off the bottom of the control when I use the code...

I am trying to add the ability for a user to change the order in which the elements are listed in a dropdown list box. BUG: Place 2 CheckboxList controls on a web form. Give them some checkboxes (listitems) at design time (not runtime) and then run the application. CheckboxList gives each checkbox an id # coinciding with the index in the collection for the parent list. Therefore, item #0 has an id of "0", item #1 has "1" et cetera. Now, when you have...

I currently have a project in production running under ASP.NET 1.1. While trying to help another programmer on MSDN's Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition forum, he (and I ) ran into a strange problem with the PrintPreview Control in VB2005. If you load a document ( text file in this case) that has more than 12 pages ( I tried with a 50 page document too), instead of being able to see all 12+ pages in the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
