I think the following is a bug in XmlTextReader:
I need to process large XMLs, that are typically
constructed of many small elements nested in the root element.
Each inner element represents a command, so I have to parse and
execute them according to the order they appear in the ROOT element.
I don't want to use XmlDocument for the entire huge XML,
but can use XmlDocument for each small element at the time.

Hi,
I have a problem with a CSV-file I have to read (actually I have to convert
it to a XML).
In some 'fields' of the CSV-file are some line-feed characters included (\r
??? don't know because I cannot capture them) (I suppose it are not carriage
returns). The problem is now that the StreamReader.ReadLine is considering
them too as an end-of-line, and not only the real carriage return.

When I execute a ReadLine from an ascii file with special chars (ie. the
'' in "NUEZ PEREZ"), it automatically deletes this character. So "NUEZ
PEREZ" becomes "NUEZ PEREZ". How can this be avoided? The reason being that
I compare this string to a string in an Access DB (btw, Access also screws
up with the character by replacing "" with "-"). So when I compare these
two strings, they won't match because both systems storing the data...

I am trying to save the "last read" position of a file
using a StreamReader object. I am reading the lines of
the file using StreamReader.ReadLine and then saving the
current position in the file. My problem is that on
subsequent reads, the starting position is not correct.
I have tried many different ways to increment the file
position value, but I cannot get it to work so that on the
next read, the read starts at the correct...

I have come across with what appears to be a significant performance bug in
..NET 2.0 ArrayList.Sort method when compared with Array.Sort on the same
data. Same data on the same CPU gets sorted a lot faster with both methods
using .NET 1.1, that's why I am pretty sure its a (rather serious) bug. Below
you can find C# test case that should allow you to reproduce this error, to
run it you will need to put 2 data files into current directory...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
