Hi I need some help here.
I am running Access 2003.
I have an Access DB linked (Front-end) to another Access DB (Back-end).
I have a Form which has a third party grid on it. The grid is
populated by creating an adodb recordset and assigning the recordset to
the grid.

Hi,
Is there a way to have a form as a control? Here's what I want to do:
I have a datagrid which displays various information. However, I want to
use it in multiple locations within the same application. Instead of
creating an instance of the grid and linking up the same data on each form,
I want to have a "floating" form which contains my grid in my application.
When a new form needs this grid, I would, say, take the form (with...

Hello,
This is NOT a troll, it's a genuine question. Please read right
through to see why.
I have been using Vusual Basic and Classic ASP for some years, and
have now started looking at ASP.NET. At first glance, it looks
excellent, albeit nothing that couldn't have been done to Classic ASP.
I have been through a few tutorials and was impressed with how quickly
you can get database info onto a page.

Hey guys, please HELP
I am going nuts with the datagrid control.
I cannot get the damn control to refresh. I am using soap to get information
from a web service. I have an XML writer output the file to a folder, and
then I read it back into the dataset using the dataset1.readxml. Up to this
point, everything works wonderfully. The query executes, the dataset gets
populated, and I get the results displayed in the datagrid.

1. No Columns collection.
2. No ability to easily synchronize the underlying DataTable of a DataGrid
when a row is deleted in the Grid. Once you sort (via the column headers)
all bets are off as to whether the current row index of the data grid can be
used directly as the Rows index of the DataTable. This is documented in the
DataGrid Overview.
3. No way to access the default grid table style to make minor changes to
just one column...

I am using windows forms and vb.net.
My problem is a little complex so please bear with me.
I have written an application that references a .com based API linked to an external
client application.
The API exposes client user interface objects. One of the objects is similar to a grid.
The first part of my application creates a reference to the grid object in the client
application.

When I add the name of a new individual in a, bound form, it will not
display that person’s name in a label control of a second unbound form.
I have a scheduling program that I am working on. Included in the
application program is a data “GRID” which I believe was created using
Visual Basic, not standard Access. Its purpose is to display the
results of a range of “from-to-dates” of registrations for different
clients. The difficulty...

Hi,
I can load an assembly using the Assembly.Load(....)
However, I'd like dynamic loading of assemblies to be identical to putting
an assembly reference in your VS2005 project. and yes, I know about the
unloading problems. Let's say I don't care for the moment.
If I have an assemlbly file at "c:\\assembly.dll" - how do I load it at
runtime as if it were references in the project at build time? I know

help me out..
this is a game and solve it by c++..how to play it is as follows..
There is a rectangular playing screen initially filled with several kinds of blocks at random. By selecting one of a group of adjoined blocks, a player may remove them from the screen. A column without any blocks will be trimmed away by other columns sliding to the left. The game is over if no more blocks can be removed, as in the right screen of the figure:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
