Hi,
I'm developing an app that uses a RichTextBox, and populates it with
colour formatted text at Form Load. However, I randomly receive this
error, which I believe is related to this data population:
Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference
not set to an instance of an object.
at System.Windows.Forms.RichTextBox.EditStreamProc(IntPtr dwCookie,
IntPtr buf, Int32 cb, Int32& transferred)

I am writing lan chat program and want the messages to be color coded for
sent/recieved...you know the standard idea.
I cannot seem to get the richtextbox to keep the color. I do a recieve and
it is fine, I do a send and it is fine, another recieve and all of the text
becomes one color.
Here is the code I am using for the the Recieve..I use the same code for the
send.

OK, this is driving me crazy! As far as I can tell it should work. It
compiles fine.
I am saving the fore and back colour of a RTB to the registry like
this:
Srx.SetValue("ForeColour", Console.ForeColor.ToArgb.ToString)
Srx.SetValue("BackColour", Console.BackColor.ToArgb.ToString)
Then, I try to read the colours back in at runtime and change the

Sorry, it's getting late and I'm tired.
I'm trying to fill a richtect box with text derived from the array I was
asking about earlier (thank you). I'm not sure what I'm seeing - since
most of the examples show how to load and save an rtf file into / from a
rtbox (may want to save this guy, so that'll come in handy, later).
Does anyone one know of a sample showing how to append, piecemeal, text
into an rtb with format changes as...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
