VB Express resize control problem

I'm a new VB programmer, trying to use the VB Express 2005 development
environment. Currently, when I try to resize any of the controls in a form
designer window, I get an error that says "object reference not set to an
instance of an object".

This is true from the first moment when I make a new project from scratch.
However, up until today, I had been able to resize the controls at will.
Also, I can still resize the controls using the properties tab. Any ideas?

You will get help for VS 2005 in the Whidbey groups:

<URL:http://communities.mic rosoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp =whidbey>

Infos on how to view these groups with an NNTP news client:

I'm creating a custom control that uses the OnPaint event to paint a graphic. The graphic needs to resize itself when the control is resized. Right now, I'm trapping the Resize event to trigger the paint. However, the Resize event appears to fire repeatedly as the control is being resized, which causes the control to repaint repeatedly, chewing up CPU capacity. I'd like to have the control redraw only when the resize is complete, not...

I have tried everything under the sun to get rid of horrible flashing and flickering that occurs on a CSharp form when the form hosts a TreeView or WebBrowser control and then you resize the form. Here is what I've tried so far: 1. Turning off CS_VREDRAW and CS_HREDRAW in both the parent form and a subclass of the control via the "override CreateParams" property (these values were already off). 2. Setting various styles and handling...

Hello, BACKGROUND: ============== I've created a Windows User Control that contains an Image Control (among other controls). The user control handles the picture resize event. Hi, I know I seem to have the really complicated questions, but I guess that's why I'm here. This is a little verbose, only because I've been trying to crack this for a week now. Your help would be appreciated. I've been trying numerous ways to resize images, as I want to make store thumbnails, not full images in my database. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
