I am looking for a good third party tool activex component that will allow
the user to open a pdf file, view the pdf file, ENTER DATA INTO PDF FORM
FIELDS, save the pdf file to disk WITH THE DATA, or EXTRACT the data entered
from each pdf form field programmaticall y. I have looked at a few:
ISedQuickPDF, Gnostice's pdfToolKit, and a couple of others. The problem is
mostly that few toolkits allow the edit of the pdf form fields and the
saving of the data. Any ideas?

Thank you but I am specifically looking for an activex component so it can
be used in other development tools as well as dotnet (Delphi, VB, VFP,
etc).

I have to implement a simple viewer for any type of document using
ActiveX (that is any documents viewable using installed ActiveX
controls). Unfortunetly anything I could find abouyt ActiveX is about
specific control for specific type of document.
Is System.Windows.Forms.AxHost class good for it? Where to start? Is

I have developed a reporting application w/ASP.NET on IIS v5 utilizing the Crystal Reports v9 ActiveX Viewer. Another developer has produced several reports using the client version of Crystal Reports v9, and we are using this application as a means of publishing these reports to internal web users via the ActiveX viewer provided with Crystal.
I am able to successfully run these reports in IE against localhost on the development...

Hi,
We recently built a very basic file management system for a client in
Access 2003 (to use with incoming tif scans). In it we used
Microsoft's Document Imaging activex viewer (from Office 2003). The
viewer seems to be a bit 'buggy', in that sometimes if you preview a
tif image using the activex on a form, then goto another form, and then
come back to preview the same image again on the first form, the
preview no longer shows up...

I'm curious if anyone has encountered this. I'm developing an outlook
add-in that needs to display a PDF. I've included the Adobe Reader ActiveX
cotnrol and when I re-load the form I get the dreaded "The path is not of a
legal form" error.
I've tried all the usual solutions to this error (cleaning, exiting,
deleting bin/obj folders, rebuilding, etc).
The add-in works fine and the PDF viewer does it's job, but without being
