An application I've just finished developing is not showing up in the
taskbar on startup until the application is clicked on.
This makes it difficult as it is being launched as a No Touch Deployment app
from Internet Explorer. Sometimes the app will show up in the background
without showing up in the taskbar.
Plus if it is minimized, sometimes it just appears hidden without being in
the taskbar and only comes back by clicking Alt-Tab...

Hello,
I'm writing a reminders project and I've been having some difficulties.
It starts with a simple class that contains a timer and NotifyIcon, where
the main function initializes the timer followed by Application.Run();
Whenever the timer figures out it has to do something (pop a reminder) -
it creates an instance of the reminder window and calls the Show() method
of that form.

Attempting to eliminate flicker showing (form) and hiding seems to have no
effect as I have it below.
if I move the lines: Me.Show()
Me.ShowInTaskbar = True
f.Close()
to the end of the load procedure the flicker goes away and produces effects
that destroy my multiple binding scheme.
This Line: Me.CurrentDate.Text = CStr(Now) is has a problem with

I am using VS2005 (vb) and I have a program that starts when Windows boots
up. Occasionally the icon that should appear in the system tray does not
show up. The program is still running in memory but the tray icon is not

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
