I have a databound combobox within a datagrid. I have set the DisplayMember
and ValueMember.
BUT, how do I capture the Value (SelectedValue) when the user changes the
selection?

Hi, I have a comboBox set to also be editable. If I have code that is
something like:
cmbBox.Text = "Hello";
MessageBox.Show(cmbBox.Text);
The MessageBox will display just an empty string. I cannot figure this out.
The text "Hello" will be displayed in the combobox but it doesn't seem to
store the text. If I edit the box at runtime then it does store it correctly.

This is a repost of an item that I still cannot resolve.
I have 3 combo boxes. The first leads to the second to the third.
When I have selected a value in the second box, the third box shows the
available information based on the second combo box selection. But if I
change my mind and select a different item in the second box, after the
third box has been populated, the third box still retains the information
that was previously...

I recently noticed that my dev machine is not displaying things properly.
I'm adding items to a combobox that do not display on screen. I can see that
the list expands when I click dropdown but nothing displays in the list. If
I select something, the text box portion gets updated with the value from the
list.
I notice similiar behavior on a msgbox - no text displays.
I believe my machine was recently updated to framework 1.1 sp1.

I tried an implementation of overriding a ComboBox control. I am simply
trying to avoid it repainting, but I can't seem to get it to work. What am I
doing wrong?
Please help.
Thanks,
Ron

I need to enter null value from combobox to business object property.
My combobox datasource does not contain ValueMember with null value.
So I tried to create combobox which stores null to bound object when text is
deleted.
However bound object contains old value in this case.
To reproduce:
1. Run code

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
