Hi all,
I am trying to make a UserControl with a TextBox in it.
I have to publish the TextChanged event of the inner TextBox, but I have
some trouble.
If I declare :
public event EventHandler TextChanged;
I get a compiler error saying that TextChanged is already declared and I
have to use :
public new event EventHandler TextChanged;

I have a Web Form with some tailored logos and artwork. The web form
also has a user control that has typical registration info on it
(Name, Company Name, etc.) One of the fields, a TextBox, is a
PromoCode which is a field required for each company which registers.
I want to programatically set the value of this PromoCode in the host
web-form's Page_Load method, but I can't seem to do it.
My user control is "RegisterInfo.ascx" (On the...

Hello
I want to create a set of controls that have some common methods and
properties. I was thinking that I should subclass the UserControl class and
add these common features there and then base all my custom controls on this
new MyUserControl Class. Is this the way to go?
The MyUserControl would not actually have any UI component and should be
abstract I think. Does this mena that I should not create the control by
just selecting...

I have two UserControls I am using in a form. These are each also used
separately in two other forms. The structure is essentially this:
CourseUserControl.ascx - select or enter a course
SessionUserControl.ascx - select or enter a course session
CourseDetails.aspx - a form which contains just CourseUserControl
CourseSessionDetails.aspx - a form which contains just
SessionUserControl
TrainingRequestDetails.aspx - a form which includes...

All,
I have a custom control that has a textbox on it. I want to be able to set
properties of the textbox in the IDE. I have exposed the textbox with a
property and it now shows up in my properties window in the IDE. I can set
attributes (i.e. character casing, etc.) but it will not 'save' those
settings by writing it back to the source code. What am I doing wrong here?
Public MyControl

I've created a custom UserControlwithin which I have placed a Panel. I've
changed the Panel's "Modifier" property to Public so that it appears in the
Properties Window of the UserControl. This way, I could modify the
properties of the panel within the UserControl when I place a UserControl on
a Form. Or so I thought.
I can set the properties of the Panel within the UserControl via the
Properties Window, but none of the changes made to...

I have created a UserControl that encapsulates a third party data grid.
My goal was to create my own DataSource and DataMember properties that
forward the binding to the third party grid, then use binding like
normal.
The problem I am running into is that my UserControl ends up with a
different BindingContext then the ParentForm it is contained in and
thus all other controls on the parent form. (I want various controls
on the form to...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
