I am trying to access Paradox through a .NET Windows application I am
writing. I have added a Data Connection to the Paradox table in the Server
Explorer of Visual Studio .NET. I have used the "Microsoft OLD DB Provider
for ODBC Drivers" option to make the connection. This works fine... even
though the Paradox table is password protected. I have dragged a the table
from the Server Explorer to my form to make a connection object and a data...

Anyone done a DELETE or UPDATE on Paradox tables in C#?
I can read the stuff, but I can't delete records.
I tried using ExecuteNonQuery and it choked. Then I tried
using an Odbc data adapter. It didn't give an error, but it
also didn't change anything.

After working with Microsoft for almost 2 weeks, the
conclusion is that the Jet engine cannot work with
some Paradox tables.
By some, I mean Paradox tables that contain no
indexes. Some of the old Paradox tables, especially
those that were created in the old Delphi 1 era,
contained no indexes. .NET doen't like that, so
it basically ignores any INSERT, UPDATE, or
DELETE sql command.

Has anyone done this yet? I know it is easily done in Paradox, but I would

Anyone having any success with the paradox extension? 'pear install
paradox' doesn't work. 'pecl install paradox' seem to do something, but
none of the px_??? wrapper functions are found. I do have
/usr/share/pear in my include_path.

Hi,
I am facing problem while reading blob field from paradox database by using ADO. If anybody knows how to read blob fields from Paradox database by using MS Technologies, then please let me know. We can do it through borland but, I had to do it through MS technologies.
So please let me know how to do it through MS Technologies (VC++/MFC or C# .Net).
