I have a problem, it's not with any code I have because... there is no code.
When I run a blank visual basic 6 form, it opens up just fine. When I add a
text box, a caption, and a button... it gives me an error from microsoft's
error report and asks me to send or not send the error, i chose and then it
quits. The error report won't let me copy the data, but i gather it's pretty
useless information unless you have the source code to visual...

I have a listbox with all the US States. I need the user
to select multiple States from that listbox and pass them
on as parameters to a SQL Stored Procedure that will give
them a count of all the records in the Database that
apply to those States. I realize That an array must be
created, but I am not sure how to go about this. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
My problem:
I have query with value klient and product. On my form Im using
multiselect box as filter of klient value. Now I would like to use
second multiselect on this form for product value selection but only
for those value that are filtered by first multiselect. I dont know how
to connect selected value klient from first multiselect and value
product from query and make it source of multiselect 2.
Maybe someone did it before...

I'm currently experiencing a strange phenomenon:
At my Office, Visual Studio takes a very long time to compile our solution
(more than 1 minute for the first project).
At home, Visual Studio compiles the same solution much faster (about 10
seconds for the first project).
My home computer is only marginally faster than the one I have at the office
(P4 2.53 vs. P4 2.4, same amount of RAM).
On the slow machine, the CPU usage is very low,...

Hi,
I have a program with a ListView (with Multiselect) and am using the
SelectedIndexChanged handler. However, when the index is changed, a
rather long set of events occurs which takes quite some time.
Therefore, if the user tries to multiselect several items (holding
down Shift), it takes that many times longer. Is there a way to only
invoke the SelectedIndexChanged method on the LAST multiselected item
(not each and every one)?? ...

I've been all over the net with this question, I hope I've finally
found a group where I can ask about Visual Basic 2005.
I'm at uni and we're working with Visual Basic 2005. I have some books,
- Programming Visual Basic by Balena (MS Press) and
- Visual Basic 2005 by Willis (WROX),
but they don't go into the forms design aspects and describing the
various controls at all. What bookscan I get that will cover that?

Why do we have to contact MS for a problem that has been with this
compiler from at least the beta of VS 20005. I am so sick and tired of
the 30 - 40 clicks it takes to dismiss VS when there is a problem. Can
they not just post the fix. I see no reason to contact MS since I have
most likely sent about 1500 dumps to them and I would think this would
get their attention.

I need to select multiple entries in the drop down list.
E.g. Search a string in languages like C#, VB, Java etc. These entries
are in drop down. So i need to multi select to search in multiple
languages
1. One of the option could be to have a check box beside each entry in
drop down. Do any one have an idea how to do this. Solution in C# is
required but even if its unmanaged code is OK.

hey... i have an unbound multiselect listbox on a form that i want to use to
populate text boxes on that form. so if a user selects the 3rd item in a
list of 20, how can i have that item show up in a text box? then, how can i
have a second selected item show up in a different text box, without
affecting the 1st one? (lboxOptions, txtboxOptions0, txtboxOptions1, etc..)

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
