Ok, I'll explain the whole problem because there may be several ways to
solve this and hopefully someone knows one. What I'm doing is creating
a specialty template editor, similar to say a corel draw (but for
specific uses). What I need to be able to do is import graphics and
text and then move them around the background until they are where I
want them and then export it out as an image file.

I have written the following Win app in VB.NET 2003 . The class is simply
picture boxes that behave in a random order after they have been
instantiated and added to a form. When I create 15 or more instances of my
class, the whole program runs slowly in a way that I have to close the
program. I have tried to create a new thread for each class, but that throws
an exception , because a separated thread can't be added to a form from a

Hopefully this is very simple.
I have a form which shows everything from a table. In this table is a
picture field called photo. I need to show the picture which
corresponds to the description (which is in another field in the same
table). i.e. the description is the House name, and I need to show the
picture for that house.

This one is driving me crazy. I have a table which stores pictures in an
OLE Object column, one per record with a few other text fields (caption,
date, etc).
This table is maintained with a form to which the fields of the table are
bound. When the form opens, focus is set in the Bound Object Frame
(olePhoto). At this stage of development, I am simply pasting bitmap
pictures into the frame and saving them.

Hi there everyone,
I have a part info form which has a faded image of our company logo as a
background.
I want to replace the faded image with a bright red warning image on items
which have run out of purchasing cover.
I am nearly there, the only problem is that the code below only changes the
image background for text and combo-box backgrounds, it doesn't apply it to
the whole form.

I have been banging my head for a couple of hours now. No matter what I
do the color that I make transparent is black. Here is the code I am
using from MSDN. I have tried bitmaps, jpegs, gifs and new bitmaps
created in code, but I cant get any image to go transparent. Thanks if

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
