Change file from read only

I am wrinting an application that copies a folder to a different
location. I need to change all the files that are read only to have
all privliges in the copied folder. I already figured out how to copy
the folder but I cannot figure out how to search each file to
determine if it is read only, then change it in the copied folder.
Here is my code so please help me if you can.

Imports System.IO

Public Class Form1
Inherits System.Windows. Forms.Form

Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVa l sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArg s) Handles MyBase.Load
Me.Show()
lblStart.Text = Now().ToString( "T")
doit()
lblEnd.Text = Now().ToString( "T")
End Sub
Public Sub doit()
Dim fls() As String =
IO.Directory.Ge tFiles("\\Winpc-2\Documents\000 2")
Dim fl As String
For Each fl In fls
Try
IO.File.Copy(fl , "C:\Documen ts and
Settings\bwg.NE TWORKBP\Desktop \New Folder\" & IO.Path.GetFile Name(fl),
True)
Catch exc As Exception
MessageBox.Show (fl & vbCrLf & exc.Message)
End Try
Next
End Sub
End Class

Hi, I hope someone can help. I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere. I need to change the SQL terminator from a semicolon (;) to an exclamation point within SPUFI in order to process a file of SQL statements. The reason I need to make the change is the SQL contains imbedded semicolon characters within text values. There are also imbedded double-quotes and text values are enclosed within single-quotes. As far as I can tell,...

I can't find it anywhere in the manual, but I have a developer that wants to know if we can code a trigger to capture the data that has changed in a table only if certain columns have changed. It looks like I can do it with the when clause and check the old vs new, but that would get very ugly with a large table. Has anyone done something like this?

Hello, I am having some sort of security issue with my code. When I change a file's title in a Windows or console app, I have no problems. (I am using Microsoft's article & DsoFile.dll: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;224351) When I run it in ASP.NET, I get a "file not found" exception, even though the file does exist.

We have a request from Auditing to modify the password an a local workstation administrative account every 90 days. We are developing two programs - a VB6 GUI program that will allow the administrative support person to enter a new password into an App and have that encrypted password saved in a text file. The second part is a VB6 program that only is a command line program that will open the password text file, read the encrypted...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
