Hi
We are developing an off-the-shelf software suite for a certain business sector. Most of the program is simply a GUI on top of some .mdb files. Its a .net application written in c#
One major requirement is "Outlook Integration". The Outlook contact folders are to be used for contact management
I want to know what is the standard way to do this these days. Most of the information in MSDN seems rather old
I first used the Outlook...

Hi,
I have a project that uses Interop.Outlook, works fine on both my computers.
When a teammember trying open the project he gets the following message:
The referenced component 'Outlook' has an updated custom wrapper available.
He has copied all Interop.dll's to his bin directory, if he adds the outlook
reference to a new project by him self its no problem.

I want to create an Outlook-appointment using .NET VC.
My Visual Basic example starts with:
Dim oApp As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application = New
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Application
But my C++ translation:
Microsoft::Office::Interop::Outlook::Application *oApp = new
Microsoft::Office::Interop::Outlook::Application;

Anybody knows what problem has this code? I think, in the Garbage
Collector? You know the Solution?
The program in the test's case, whit 350 contacts, run OK before number
86. The error is a "Array index out of bounds".
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._Application olApp = new
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.ApplicationClass();
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._NameSpace olNs =
olApp.GetNamespace("MAPI");

I recently upgraded to Outlook 2007 B2TR and have found that I can no
longer code against MAPI.DLL It's gone :(
Using C#, I used to get the MAPI session, and from that I could change
the out of office. No longer. Does anyone know how to do this using
the new Microsoft.Office.Core and Microsoft.Office.Outlook DLL's that
are supposed to be the new replacements?
Here's what I had that worked until Outlook 2007 came around:

C#.Net Outlook 2003 automation (programmatically) with Office.Interop.Outlook
Problem:
I have my outlook 2003 configured with multiple mailbox on my local machine.
I want to specify the mailbox and server (Exchange server mail box)
to connect and then save the mailitems(from Inbox or any other folder)
based on a filter to a*.msg file.
I want to achieve this using only one Interop dll if this is possible.

Hi,
I am currently working on a tool to transfer addressbook data such as contacts and organizations between Vondle and Outlook.
For those of you who are wondering what Vondle is, it is an online project management toolkit used to support large engineering projects.
More information on Vondle can be found at http://www.bricsys.com/vondle/ .
The purpose of the tool is to fluently transfer addressbook data between vondle & outlook. I've...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
