Moving VB .NET 2002 projects to VB .NET 2003 on a multiboot system

On a multiboot system, I have VS .NET 2002 installed in the OS on the G
drive, and VS .NET 2003 installed in the OS on the J drive.

Whilst booted to the OS on the G drive, I create a project using VB .NET
2002.
I then boot to the OS on the J drive and upgrade the project to VB .NET
2003.

I have noticed that the project's "Start External Program" and "Working
Directory", and maybe other things, still point to the G drive even tho the
project was updated under VB .NET on the J drive.

This might cause grief if, say, the "Start External Program" identified an
application. such as Word, that was a different version in each OS.

Is there a list of the project/solution properties that need to be manually
modified in such circumstances?

I've recently installed Visual Studio 2003 on my development computer. But so far I've yet to use VS 2003 and .NET Framework 1.1 in any real projecs. I have several projects and customers running both WinForm and ASP.NET applications that were developed in VS 2002 and are running on .NET Framework 1.0 (patched). My questions are:

Morning All I have been developing and deploying with Office 2000 for about 3 years, mainly Access based programs and although I have gotten used to it's quirks, I am starting to feel that I should be switching to Office 2002 or maybe 2003 It would mean upgrading a lot of existing work, not to mention 3rd party tools that I have bought over the years. I'll switch if there are any real benefits but if it is just marginally better I'll...

I have an inherited comboBox that I'm using to try to make an intellisense type box in VS 2003 .Net. It works okay when compiled in VS.Net 2002. It doesn't work when compiled in VS.Net 2003. In 2003, it compiles fine with no error or warnings, but doesn't do what its supposed to. I've done some tweaking here and there, and nothing I do seems to work. Anybody got any ideas on this? the difference between 2002 and 2003 is that the value...

hi everyone. How do you migrate a project built using VS.NET 2002 to VS.NET 2003 and back? I'm doing ASP.NET applications and haven't found out how to move projects to and from. At work I use VS.NET 2002 on a 2000 pro machine. Most of the time I try to take my work home but I run into big problems trying to set up the application to run on VS.NET 2003/2000 Pro. It seems that IIS can't locate my project when I try to load the project...

Hi, I'm in the middle of a project cycle using VS.Net 2002. I'd like to purchase VS.Net 2003 and make the jump to it but first I want to know how much of a hassle it is loading my VS.Net 2002 project in 2003. The project isn't under source control so that should make it easier. But if I need to make a lot of modifications to the code so it'll run on 2003 I might just wait a few months till the next project. Thanks for sharing any...

I have a multiboot system. On one of the systems, I have Office 2002, VS .NET Pro 2002 and the Office 2002 PIA with .NET Framework 1.0. On another system, I have Office 2003, VS .NET Pro 2003 and the Office 2003 PIA with .NET Framework 1.1, as well as VSTO. Are there known problems using VS .NET Pro 2003 with Office 2002 and the Office 2002 PIA? Does it mater whether .NET Framwork 1.0 or 1.1 is used with Office 2002 and

We are running an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. Our network guy is upgrading to Windows Server 2003 and wants to upgrade Office and SQL Server at the same time. We're moving to SQL Server 2005, and, since he already has licenses for Office Pro 2002, he wants to upgrade to that. I've been saying that we need to upgrade to Access 2003, not 2002, even if Office is kept at 2002. We are also looking to do a fair amount of...

We are moving from ASP.Net 1.1 to ASP.Net 2.0. As we do not have the luxury of spending weeks trying out different techniques, I'd like to rely on some tried and true methods, but need some feedback so we don't stray too far from best practices. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
