I recently picked up a copy of Office 2003, but have installed it
(replacing my existing installation of Office XP Pro) yet because...
I am in the middle of a client project using Access 2002 with Access
2000 file format (the client has Office 2000 in their offices).
I am concerned that replacing Office XP Pro (Access 2002) with Office
2003 (Access 2003) may cause backward compatibility issues.
Can anyone comment on this?

When I ordered my new laptop, Sony didn't offer Access 2003 in its bundles.
Recently, I have begun to design Access databases using an copy of Access
2002 from my previous laptop. It works fine, but I would like to have all
the office apps on the same version. So I have a few questions:
1) Is the file format the same as 2002? Can 2002 users read 2003 files?
2) What are the major reasons for upgrading to 2002 ?

I have a client who is using Access 2002/2000 (the database itself is
written in 2000), and is considering migrating to Access 2003. Any
recommendations on whether Access 2003 is worth the migrate, or should he
stick with 2002?

I have a VB.NET application which creates Microsoft office word

This works fairly fast on machines with Office (Word) 2002 installed.
however the code takes about 15 times as long to run on office 2003
machines.
I have noticed in my VB.NET project the following message Warning

If I upgrade my office to 2003, and do work on the database, can I save it
in 2002 format, make and mde, and still have it run on the 2002 runtime? Or
will making the mde on 2003 make it so that it has to run on 2003 runtime?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
