I use it all the time and am quite fond of it. Is there a specific issue or
do you just want general feedback? For what it's worth, it ranks with
Deklarit, IP*Works and DevExpress as the coolest third party stuff I've
worked with (well, throw Steema's TeeChart in with it, that's really cool
too).

Their Grid is great, so is DevExpresses. Charts also rock but there are a
lot out there that I've never used so it's hard to comment. Put it this
way, you won't be disappointed in your decision, I can just about guarantee
that.

Hi Elton,

We use the Infragistics suite of tools at my company. They are very
powerful and versatile, but it has been my experience that there's a steep
learning curve involved with them. Once you get the hang of the controls,
their value is apparent, but don't expect to be cruising "out of the box".

Their newsgroup has some good information, and a few of their developers /
tech support also monitor it and give good advice. Their documentation is
sparse, though, so you'll spend time trying to dig up examples of how to
*really* get the controls configured just like you want them.

All in all, it's a solid suite of tools; I just wanted to make sure you knew
that they weren't the easiest in the world to use.

HTH,
Derrick

I was recently assigned to build a database administration tool with an infragistics web grid UI. I am able to pull the data into a dataSet and bind it fine. However, when I attempted to use the UpdateCell or UpdateCellBatch events to transfer updated data to the data set, the event arguements (Infragistics.WebUI.UltraWebGrid.CellEventArgs e) are missing critical information such as the row and column of the cell being updated, and most of...

Greetings, My team and I would like to use Infragistics for both WinForm and WebForm development. From a technical perspective we see the benefits. The boss wants me to quantify ROI. The primary question I get is 'what does the Infragistic grid give me that the ASP.NET grid does not?' I get similar questions for the other Infragistic controls that are complements of existing WinForms and WebForm controls. For me to answer this...

Hi everyone, We're needing to pick a suite of components for our C#/VS 2005 development. Top on our list is a treeview that integrates with a datagrid. I think all the big goes provide that. Does anyone know which suite is the "best" or are they (Infragistics, ComponentOne, DevExpress, other) all about the same? Thanks for any insight or opinion.

Hi, I want to create an asp.net page with a tabpage. On the tabpage I want to use the WebDateChooser and WebDataInput controls of Infragistics. These 2 controls use a mask to enter a date and bankaccountnummber, so that no invalid date or bankaccountnumber can be inputted. I started out with the tabcontrol of infragistics. But I also want to use the atlas update panel, and this gives conflicts when used together with the infragistics...

Hi Everyone, I'm using Infragistics' UltraWebGrid control on a page for it's column grouping functionality (which makes the page start to look like a pivot table). However, requirements have changed - as they do - and now I need to programmatically set the groups from the server without any user interaction. As far as I can tell there's no standard way of doing this; the only way to change the control's groups is by dragging and dropping...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
