Hi, I have a crystal report version 9 in vb .net 2002, am calling the parameters at runtime and not using the crystal parameter box. I get results by hard coding the discrete values
But, I really need to call all results for the parameter in a separate windows form in a combo/drop-down text box, whatever, before loading the viewer. There could be thousands of results, so must handle this way. The user would choose one or several, then once chosen, click ok to load the report
Does anyone have any sample code
Much appreciated! Thanks, Helen 0 946 This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Hello All
I have the following test.asp page which needs one parameter querystr
but my querystr is a very long string value. When I send a long value
the query string is getting truncated after some characters.
Can you please kindly share the code segment to workaround how to pass
such a long string value to a asp page. This is how I invoke the test

Hi!
I've been thinking about passing parameteras using references instead
of pointers in order to emphasize that the parameter must be an
object.
Exemple:

Hello,
I am having many problems with setting up a parameter query that
searches by the criteria entered or returns all records if nothing is
entered.
I have designed an unbound form with 3 fields on it: Date (DateSpan1
and DateSpan2), Originator, and GroupName. I have added a button that
triggers a query and uses those fields as its parameter criteria to
populate a form. The user must be allowed to either enter all of the

Hi all,
I have query about passing a parameter from form to a query. My situation
is as follows:
I have a query that pulls up some data from a table, however there is a
condition that must be filled in by the user. Hence when you run the query
there is a "Enter Parameter Value" prompt that must be completed. A further
complication is that the parameter is actually within the WHERE statement,

I have a modal (yes it must be modal) web page. I do this by having an
empty frame that points to my main page (so that I can repost without new
popups) I have to pass data to the child page from the parent and the only
way I can figure to do it by the url. Please correct me if I'm wrong on
that. When the data get to my frame I then have to pass the data to my
child form, again through the url (i think). The only way I found to do...

I have a simple oledb dataset on one windows form in vb .net 2002 calling one column from oracle 7, results appear in a text box
But, only the first results appears.
Goal is to show all results in a drop down, then the user can choose one or several (do I pass these results to a separate text box?), and then pass the results (in the separate text box?) to a crystal 9 report, as parameters
Am able to pass hard coded parameters in windows...

Keywords: scope resolution, passing classes between parent and child
forms, parameter constructor method, normal constructor, default

Here is a newbie mistake that I found myself doing (as a newbie), and
that even a master programmer, the guru of this forum, Jon Skeet,
missed! (He knows this I'm sure, but just didn't think this was my
problem; LOL, I am needling him)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
