Hello,
I have a problem that actually doesn't even make sense.
I have 4 million rows in my database. I want to get all records into a
DataReader and then read. So if I do it in DAO (either in VB or MFC C++)
it takes around 1 second to get the recordset and then around 10-15
seconds to iterate through the recordset. This speed remains the...

Hi,
The line below is used to feed a combobox. (It is from a database which is
used to log pupil behaviour!) The 'incidents' table contains a list of
students who have been involved in incidents. Some may appear several
times, hence the Distinct. However, thelist generated should still be
sorted by Surname. When I add Order by I'm told...

I need to implement a simple search function to lookup order information in
a SQLserver table. The code below works fine for a search to the ³OrderID²
column. However, I¹d like to offer the user the ability to select 3 possible
columns to search from. I added a dropdownlist to select the column. My
question is, how do I dynamically modify the...

Hi all
I'm beginning my foray from VBA into VB 2005 Express, and enjoying
some of the efficiencies it provides! I'm stuck with some dataset
handling however that I _think_ can be automated but I can probably
code what I want to do the hard way. I've searching around online but
can't find an answer to this specific question.
Here's the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
