Hi folks.
I have a form, frmHistory, which has 4 command buttons: Sort Title
(cmdSortTitle), Sort Name (cmdSortName), Due Today (cmdDueToday), and
Due List (cmdDueList).
Sort Title and Sort Name uses VBA code, and sorts the form either
ascending or descending, by title and by name respectively.
Due Today and Due List uses macros, and filters the form to display

This had got to be something obvious that I am too blind to see!
Funny problem: one of my users has my application linked to a SQL
Server Backend. Front end it Access XP (SP3). The first form opened is
full of (about 25) buttons with a few fields on the form footer that
are filtered simply. It is called 'Switchboard' though it is not a
standard MS Access Switchboard. This person did the following:

Hi,
I hope someone can help.
I have a main form which mostly fills the Access window. In the bottom half
of this form I have a tab control to display various types of data related
to the main form record. In each page of the tab control, there are three
buttons: Add, Update, Delete. Any of these buttons will open another,
smaller form to add, update or delete the related data record.
Originally, I had placed the smaller form such...

I need to implement a Dialog box in my Web application.
The dialog box pops up with "OK", "Show Details", "Show Image" buttons
when the user clicks a marked point on a chart. I need to pass the
numeric value of the point into the Dialog Box.
And after the user selects "Show Details" or "Show Image" buttons, I
need to pass that value into another web form to display the required
details.
How can I implement this? Can someone give me...

Hi everyone,
i was wondering if anyone else had observed this and if there is any
workaround or patch.
i have some screens (an mdi child forms) with the buttons &Add, &Edit,
&Save and E&xit, the idea being that the user can use Alt+A, Alt+E etc
etc
when any screen loads, Add, Edit and Exit are enabled.

Does anyone now if the ubiquitous "scaleable naviagtion pane" as used
on the MSDN Library site (http://.msd2.microsoft.com...) is a custom
control? If not, where it can be found?
Thanks,

Hi,
Is it possible to access menustrips and tooltips from the IDE when they
are present on a form from which you have inherited? I would like to have a
template form from which a bunch of forms inherit. This template would have a
tooltip provider & a menustrip, but I need to be able to access both of those
in the child forms to add remove items. I can manipulate the programatically
by creating getters & setters, but I would prefer to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
