From reading this forum, it is my understanding that C++ doesn't
require the compiler to keep code that does not manifest itself in any
way to the user. For example, in the following:
{
for(int i = 0; i < 10; ++i){
std::cout << i << std::endl;
for(int j = 0; j < 0x7fffffff; ++j){}
}
}

I have VB.net 2003 and I am wondering How (if possible) can I clear out the
current listing of my OPEN AND EXISTING PROJECT list when I first start up
VB.net?
I currentl show 10 such projects. I've tried to only show 1 then change back
to 10. But, the items come back.
The reason is that I've a few instances where I've opened previously saved
versions of projects. Now I've several lines of the same project NAME, but I
have to be...

This post comes from seeing the protracted thread(s) on use of integer v long in loop code. My first
reaction was "why not print out the "compiled" code and see what it is in each case? That should
settle the matter. However this doesn't seem to be at all easy in vba.
I have tried using the code (it is a V add-in) in "Microsoft's P-Code Implementation"

Hi guys!
I am a beginner with aspx (i have some background with .asp). And i am
trying tu use a 'code-behind' page in order to execute all transactions in
that page and leave as clean as possible the .aspx with the html.
As my start-point, i am building a login page. I put the textbox and submit
button on the page index.aspx; and, i put all the db validation on the page
maquinaria.vb.
on index.aspx i have this button:

I've got an XML stream <node1><node2></node2></node1> which I would like to
"pretty" up so it looks like the following:
<node1>
<node2>
</node2>
</node1>
I've investigated the XmlTextWriter's formatting options, but the object
expects the XML to be contained within a file. I've already got the string

Hi,
there is a 500;13 page one can configure in the website properties, but
..Net Framework 1.1 also delivers the "server too busy" message
sometimes and the IIS custom error page does not seem to catch that.
How would I customize the error page then?

I have a split Access 2003 database. I have signed the database with a
Code Signing Certificate from Small Business Server. This works fine
and users can have Access macro security on high or medium and do not
get prompted at startup.
The problem comes because there are two of us modifying the code.
Whenever either one of us changes the code, one of us must resign both
the front and back end of the database. If we forget to sign both, we...

Hello,
I am wanting a "pretty output" of tabular data generated on the fly and saved in an array (PHP)...
That is, I have a link so users can chart (JpGraph) and download (CSV) tabular data, based on their selections on a query web page and using PHP, etc to pull the data out of a PostgreSQL database.
I have been requested to make ('on the fly') a 'reporting quality' version of the CSV available for download - sort of like you might get...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
