Is there any way that I can take the records from a datagrid and paste them
into an Excel sheet, then print preview or print the sheet ?
Is there any way I can sort the sheet before I print it ?
Thanks all

Hi TM,
What you mean with: paste them into an Excel sheet, then print preview or print the sheet ?
I am not sure about what you mean?
Cor
If you are asking if you can sort the spreadsheet after pasting has been
done and before you print, then of course the answer is yes, just to a
Data/Sort from the excel menu.
However, I dont suppose this is what you are asking though is it ?
Tell us more please.

Sorry about the confusion. I should probably have posted this in two
messages.
Basically what I want to do is take the records from a datagrid and paste
them into an excel sheet. Then I want to print that sheet. If I could do a
print preview so they can see what it looks like before print, that would be
a bonus.
Also, if I could sort the sheet before printing, that would be outstanding
Thanks

I have a pretty straightforward database that is designed to record
free-form information about products (date, source and a memo field).
This is searched and updated via a form. For new records, the memo
field is usually filled by cutting and pasting from e-mails, web
content and spreadsheets.
The only problem is that some of the memos can be just a few words,
and some can be tens or hundreds of lines, and I've realised that

I am stuck on this. It ought to be a simple reason as to why this is
problematic, in that it works on smaller groups of data (say under 40
records), but doesn't on larger groups of records (40+).
I'm displaying 9 columns in a datagrid, and have a radiobutton at the top of
the page that says Web, Excel & Word. Web is selected by default. If you
click one of the other two buttons, this code is executed:

I fill a dataset like this:
dim da As New SqlDataAdapter, ds As New Dataset, conn As New SqlConnection
....
da.Fill(ds, "tbl1")
datagrid1.DataSource = ds
datagrid1.DataMember = "tbl1"
When the form containing datagrid1 displays, all the records are there. The
dataAdapter, da, is based on a stored procedure which only returns a set

Hi,
The number of rows in the datagrid on my page are approx. around 14130. When I click on the button that exports the records to excel sheet, the page goes blank (I observed that none of the events are firing).
To confirm this is happening because of the no. of rows, I modified the SP to retrieve around only 100 records. I could export these records in the datagrid successfully.
I am aware that the max no of rows to export to excel...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
