I'm playing around with writing my own panel applets, and I'm trying
to figure out how to get my panel applets to be restored when I log
in. As an experiment, I'm using the simple clock applet that comes
with PyGNOME (clock-applet.py). It works fine when I run it from the
shell, but when I log out and log in again, there's just a tiny
GNOME-foot icon where the applet should be.

I wish to implement a control panel applet for my application, accessed from
the standard windows control panel. Is they a simple way of ding this for a
C# project? Am I right in thinking that i just need a dll file (renamed to
cpl?) with some sort of standard interface?

A while ago I installed Net 2.0 to our Server 2003 web machine, but the
Control Panel folder icon for configuring Net 2.0 never made it to the
Control Panel folder. Thinking this might indicate a botched install, I
used the install.exe found in 2.0's "Microsoft .net framework 2.0"
directory to repair the install. No change I can see.
I can find the application exe whose icon is missing from control panel
easily enough, but I wonder...

Hi all,
I don't know if this is possible but I'd like to access the functions
contained in the 'Mail' applet within the Control Panel.
Specifically I want to access the 'Profiles' list and then if the desired
profile (source) name is found Copy... it to another name (target) - set the
target as the default profile then Remove the source profile.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
