I have datagrid in the the windows form in the VB.net project. I want to
increase the height of the columns header. For ex. Product Number should
display as

Hi, I saw that in Windows Forms DataGrid with new row creation set to true, if I have added a new row earlier which was empty and deleted the row and shifted the focus to any other control and then clicking on the column header of the grid is making the grid to go to edit mode which is causing the first row to be ready for allowing user input. Does anybody of you know how to stop this behaviour, i.e., new row should not be put into edit...

Hi, I'm using a ComboBox, some Textboxes, and a DataGrid to represent a many-to-many relationship between Person and Course. Each time that I change the value in the ComboBox (which for now is the OID of Person), the information of the person matching the selected OID is shown in the Textboxes (Name, Address, id, etc) and the courses this person is taken are shown in a DataGrid (course name, price, etc.). This is working well so far, I...

My app produces some long datatables to display in a grid. So I put them in a div so users can scroll. But the grid headers scroll out of view. I would like to stop them doing this. Can I fix them in place at the top of the div? -- John Wilson

I have a data grid that has three columns: First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name. The grid has a list of people with a blank row at the bottom of the grid (in the footer) that allows the user to add a new person to the list. There is also an Edit button at the end of each row that allows the user to edit a particular row. So far - no problem - easy to do. I have been asked to make the grid section 508 compliant. The requirement is...

Hi guys, First post, hope you can help, I have done two sites www.trisant.co.uk and my own www.firstexact.co.uk. The 2 x 2 grid I originally envisaged goes haywire in Firefox as I get a 4 high by 1 wide grid. think it's something to do with my floats and clear both with a <br> in CSS..I have tried everything I can think of, the sites are fine in IE 6/7..Some of the text formatting and the navigation fonts are in different places.. Here's...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
