This is de public array I use, intline is a variable integer also declared
as public in a module.
I want to clear the content of the string array strOrderList in Form2, but
i get a error in form1. How can i do this??
strOrderList.Cl ear(?, 0, intLine) 2 5811
Jan,
Remember: Array.Clear is a shared method, I normally use the class name
itself with shared methods to avoid confusion.
Have you tried something like:
Dim strOrderList() As String Array.Clear(str OrderList, 0, strOrderList.Le ngth)
I use strOrderList.Le ngth instead of intLine, as I'm not sure if intLine is
"off by one". I don't know if you defined it as the number of elements or
the high index, remember that VB.NET uses high index, where as the Framework
uses number of elements. Arrays start at zero, so there is a "off by one"
potential.
Hope this helps
Jay

I'm developing an application on the smartphone. To reduce the size of the application i'm using panels where appropriate instead of forms. As a result of the design, I need to have different context menus on one form. I had tried to declare two MainMenu items and then simply switch the display accordingly. eg.
public void displayPanel1(){
this.Menu = this.mainMenu1; //
this.Refresh();
}
public void displayPanel2(){
this.Menu =...

The Combobox1.item.clear doesn't seem to work for me
correctly. I have a Combox with a datasource bind to it.
When I try to clear the Combobox with the following code:
Combobox1.DataSource = Nothing
Combobox1.items.Clear
Even though the items in the dropdown list are gone now, I
still see one line showing in the combo:
System.Data.DataRowView.

This seems inconsistent and more than a little bizarre.
Array.Clear sets all elements of the array to their default values (0,
null, whatever), whereas List<>.Clear removes all items from the list.
That part makes a reasonable amount of sense, as you can't actually take
items away from an Array. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to
perform the same operation in one fell swoop on a List<>.
For example:

I then create an array of structures - Rulestrc tp. However the content of tp is constantly changing during the run of my program, therefore I need to clear the contents of vector. I do this:

I have an array of objects (a hash table). My section of code, the "for in" loop (lines 18 to 41) does not execute at full speed. But if I put in an alert box (line 13) to stop program execution the the code executes when I click the Ok.
I am writing an HTML table on the fly. First I delete the content of the table, then I repopulate the table with the new content. Below the following code I display how I create the arrays (which...

I haven't had much luck with specific controls, their properties and loops in the past. I thought I would share this tidbit of code, feel free to modify/modularize in any way to suit your needs. This function may be called from the combobox after_update event or a "clear filter" buttons after_update event. I placed this in a module. Oh, one more thing... I happened to have my FK in column 1 of the combobox, this may need changed. Sorry if I...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
