Hi,
the application I am writing has a MainMenu and a DataGrid
(UltraGrid).
Now I have to edit the text of each cell in this grid. So far so good.
All works fine in editmode but if I press a key which is also a
shortcut it doesn´t work and the menuitem-clickevent will be
performed.

I put a datagrid in my inherited user control, then put this control on a
form.
I use DataAdaptor to fill the data table and update database.

What events are there to do things in when I am on a row in a datagrid
(bound from a dataset) and press Delete key...
There's no Delete Event on the drig and I can't figure out if there are any
events on the Dataset itself either..

I have a datagrid that successfully allows editing and updating (with
dataadapter.update command). I want the user to be able to edit the
"text" in the datagrid, but i DON'T want the user to be able to DELETE
rows.
The OleDbCommandBuilder automatically creates the DELETE SQL statement.
Is there any way I can disable it? If not, what approach should I be
using?

I thought the only thing I had to do to disable column sorting in
VB.NET was to set datagrid.AllowSorting = False. Unfortunately this
has never worked for me. I discovered another set of code that seems
to work for 99% of the cases where I need to disable datagrid column
sorting:

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
