.NET SVG Control, Managed API, code with VB.NET

Attn: .NET (VB, C#) and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) Developers....

MOBIFORM Software Ltd. has now made beta copies of its SVG Browser
and SVGViewPlus component available for download.

The SVGViewPlus Component is a 100% managed code product, written entirely
in C#. It's namespace is exported and follows the W3C specification on SVG

Features - C#, VB.NET support, multi-window view, PNG JPG BMP Export, click
and drag zoom, scrolling, printing, audio, animation, web service
binding, and more.

Interested, but don't know much about SVG? SVG is an XML Format for
graphics, poised to make Flash and other graphics rendering formats
obsolete.

I am replacing an ActiveX OCX that was created in VB6. It is used heavily in a large VB6 program that I do not have the luxury of upgrading to .NET. The new control must use a significant amount of code that was written in C++ .NET for a web service. In C++ .NET, I have the option of creating an MFC ActiveX Control. That control loads onto a VB6 form just fine. But when I start including .NET managed code, I run into compile errors.

Hi all, I have a C# user control (a little app I made to display video). In this code I am using a third party .dll, which is written in C++ (un-managed). I am tring to put this control on a web page and somehow the managed code is working OK but when it arrives the part of the code where it is calling the un-managed .dll it gets an exception (it can't find the dll). Is it a security problem? if it is what do I do to solve it? Is it a...

I'm having difficulty embedding a managed C++ control in Internet Explorer. I'm using the same object syntax in the html as I would for a c# control, but IE doesn't seem to find the control in the dll. Is there a different object syntax used to identify a control in a managed c++ dll? Thanks, Paul

I have a .Net 1.1 application which is downloaded into an aspx page. It is a dll which inherits from System.Windows.Forms.UserControl. It works fine on a PC with only the 1.1 Framework. However, the control will not load on a PC with the 2.0 Framework installed. I know that IE will use the newest framework so I assume it is a security issue. At the assembly level I apply the following attributes;

Greetings, (.NET 2.0, WinXP Pro/Server 2003, IE6 with latest service packs). I've decided to take advantage of the layout characteristics of HTML documents to simplify my printing tasks, but of course it's thrown up a whole host of new issues... I'm generating a multi page printable document in HTML from my app, and displaying it in a WebBrowser control. I've looked into using some CSS

Hello Gurus; I have some strange, complicated and challenging question. This question may show a poor design, and I agree it very poor. But I have some constrainment that must be handled as I'll show in here (you know... plaster/banded...): I have a C# Form with a COM/OCX control (unmanaged...). I need to get the pointer for a specific interface of the COM control to be used in another C++ DLL (with clr support), and in the C++ to use...

Hello Everybody, I'm new here, and I'm hoping someone can help me out... I'm creating an ActiveX control for an company intranet. This control needs to access Microsoft Outlook (specifically the user's contacts folders). I have created a script that can do this, and have also managed to get an activeX control running. However, when I try to use my Outlook script within my ActiveX control I get a...

Hello people. I'm having a Winform app that contains a webbrowser control that keeps navigating from one page to another permanentrly to make some tests. The problem I'm having is that after a while, the application is using more than 100 or 150 Mb in RAM, and if I let it continue, it can leave the system without memory. I've been watching in some pages that other people has the same problem with this control when keep navigating for a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
