I've written an Add-in for MS Outlook and in Visual Studio .NET 2003, I
also created a setup project to install the add-in. It all works well.
When the user double-clicks on the .msi file to launch the setup,
there's this choice of having the application installed "Just for me"
or for "Everyone" using that computer. I noticed that even when the
user selects "Everyone", the setup script writes the entries for
registering the Add-in with...

I know if I was using an Access MDB I could link to MS Outlook folders
and the addressbook. But I'm using an Access Project (ADP) and want to
figure out a way to link to the Outlook addressbook this in code. I'm
hoping someone has an example of how to accomplish this, through CDO
or otherwise.
Thanks,
lq

Here goes...
Outlook 2003 -> Access -> Crystal Reports ...via VB 6.0 code
Basically I have a VB 6.0 project working on my machine.
All with the click of a button , the Vb code extracts rows from the
Calender folder of Outlook 2003, and makes a table in Access based on
these rows and then a crystal report is created.

Hello,
I have a Web Project (UserControls.dll) with some user controls that
is shared by many asp.net web applicattions.
What we do is copy UserControls.dll to all the applications bin
folders an this works correctly.
We want to have this shared code in the GAC.

(my original post was inaccurate but this post accurately describes what I
think is a very bad vs2005 bug)
short description...
Deleting a dataset and recreating it from the dataadapter causes VS.Net 2005
to render the associated .resx and .vb file inoperative.
detail...
I converted an asp 1.1 vb.net app using the vs2005 conversion wizard and
then retested the app after conversion.

Hello,
Am getting acquainted with VSTO and Visual Studio. I have been really
successful adding references to the PIAs for Word, Outlook, Excel,
etc. to Console applications and VB applications.
However, I also wanted to investigate add-ins (specifically for
Outlook). I downloaded VBTO 2007 SE and installed it, and now when I
start Visual Studio I see project templates for, e.g. Outlook Add-In.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
