I have a problem whereby I wish to setup a custom tooltip. I have the code attached to do this, it all works very wel

Has anybody created any balloon style tooltips in vb.net for a listview
? I have found a good article on MSDN on how to do it in general, but
I haven't been able to get it to work on a listviewitem. No matter
whether the user is hovered over the item or any of its subitems, I
want to display the balloon and point it to the row ? I'm assuming a
balloon tip can have multiple rows also.

You know those little balloon tips that come out of your task bar- like for
example when Windows warns you about window supdates being available? I'd
like to create some of those from my C# app...
Can you tell me how?
I want to use it to notify users of an event while my program is running in
the background (possibly as a service) and it would be really nice if I can
add clickable links in that blaloon tip to open a window for details....

Hi,
I have an MFC application that has a CDialog based dialog box that contains
a .net UserControl (via DDX_ManagedControl) as well as a native edit control
which has the ES_NUMBER style set. Now a very strange thing happens: If I
press a non-numeric key in the native edit control, up pops a little balloon
tip saying "Unacceptable Character", however when I press the key again, the
tooltip disappears, reappears and in the process blanks...
