Create Function

Hi Guys. I was recently in an interview where they asked such a question.

Create a function that will allow input string value and then will return only the numberic values of the string value inputted.

Can anyone please answer

I'm not quite sure exactly what you need. Can you give a sample string?

Create Function GetValue @string nvarchar(50)
Returns
As
Begins
Select * from contacts where contactID = @string
return (@string, int)

Something like that

Scalar-Valued Function is what im trying to do
