y use procedures

my question is y use procedures when we can use insert ,delete or update commands in a sql query as it is?????

plz any body help me

Since procedures are compiled code and secured, its prefered to use procedures for faster actions and security concerns.

Also procedures are set of code for re-usability.
:)
