Hi, I am trying to find a VB way that would create a folder on all
existing drives - the folder name would be the same on each drive. ie
c:\backup, d:\backup, etc. But the folders would only be created if
they don't already exist, and if the drive happens to be one a folder
cannot be created on (ie a cdrom drive) it would just be skipped...

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if there will be support in SQL2005 - Yukon for
datafiles to be placed on Compressed volumes or if there will be
compression of the data that is transparent to the user.
Thanks! <Keeps fingers crossed>

install "wxWindows" without taking up 115 MB from my "C:\" ?
Why do the following:
MS Visual Studio, wxWindows, Borland C++,
Stingray Objective Studio, ARM SDT, etc.
like to install source code to the "C:\" drive?

I am trying to install the MSDN version of Visual Studio Professional
2005 and the goddamn install won't let me change the installation drive
-- it shows that everything will be installed to C: but I don't have
enough space on C and I want to install to a different hard-drive but
the damn install doesn't allow me to change the drive.

I'm having trouble accessing SQL2005 Standard Edition as a second
instance of SQL Server where the first instance is SQL 2000 Enterprise
Edition. I installed SQL 2005 as a named instance "SQL2005". The
server is running Windows 2000 SP4 ON A 32-Bit machine. When I look in
Services I see the SQL Server (SQL2005), SQL Server Agent (SQL2005)...

Any assistance is appreciated.
I would like to know if there is a way to specify the path for database
log files to be located during the SQL2005 Standard installation.
Under the Advanced button there is the ability to specify a different
path for data files but nothing for logs.
Thanks in advance,
John

I've created quite a few .Net apps we use locally and I generally just
publish them as ClickOnce applications to a network drive. Now I'm being
asked to make my app portable to other networks/companies. So I want to
create a setup program on CD/DVD. The hurdle here is that my apps are often
database driven and use SQL2005 as the backend. ...

We have an installed site with two SQL2005 servers (workgroup, SP2).
At the publisher we recently (yesterday) bulk inserted about 2million lines
into a table from a third server that's going to be part of the replicating
group. However, since importing these records (using 'Import Data' to get
the data in and then running a no-change update...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
