To keep track of how many fruits my visitors buy, I use a mySQL database
(2 columns: "fruit" and "quantity")....so can we make these following

I don't know if jdbc/java code requires this, but when I use two gui admin tools I found, and I insert a row into the table using their row editor feature, both require me to enter a number for the Serial type. I thought this type was used to auto-increment an id field and that I would not need to enter anything into it? I am trying to store information into a table that has an auto
increment field. There is currently no data in the table. Using the
code below I cannot insert data into the table. I get an error telling
me that "Number of query values and destination fields are not the
same."
If I add a value for the auto increment field to the SQL String the
data is entered into the table with no problems but obviously the auto

I created a setup file using the Publish Wizard in Visual Studio 2005 and
installed the software in the client machine. Now I want to update some of
the installed files in the client machine with NEW ones.
Is there anyway that it can be done automatically without i telling the user
which files to replace and which not.
Is creating a batch file a good option or their are other better options
available.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
