I have the following requirement
I am creating a login and database user 'test' on a database with dbo
role .
I want to remove create table , alter table permisions to this user.
I am able to revoke create table permission but alter table goes
through.
I gave a command deny insert,delete,update on ssycolumns to test.
Still I am not able to prevent user altering schema . Alter table
successfully goes throgh.

values in a table. They were compiled from books and code snippets found
here. It was a pain to work out so I've decided to share my work and

I would like to add an Identity to an existing column in a table using a
stored procedure then add records to the table and then remove the identity
after the records have been added or something similar.
here is a rough idea of what the stored procedure should do. (I do not know
the syntax to accomplish this can anyone help or explain this?

I have a problem with a Java user-defined stored procedure
and the "alter sequence" statement. I use DB2 8.1.2 and had the
same problem with 8.1.0, but not with 7.*.
I get the following message:

Keep in mind this is my first compiled SQL program Stored Procedure
(SP), copied from a book by Frasier Visual C++.NET in Visual Studio
2005 (Chap12). So far, so theory, except for one bug (feature?)
below. At some point I'm sure I'll be able to laugh about this, akin
to forgeting a semi-colon in C/C++, but right now it's frustrating

Optional Create and Alter is nice because it fails, the original is
still in place as are the original permissions. Drop and create is
also valid in some cases if you want to clear/reset the permissions.
I use an approach which lets me choose which one I want to implement
on the fly. If I remove the first two dashes, the drop is disabled
and it creates only if it doesn't already exist. Otherwise it drops,
creates a filler sproc, and...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
