Umm, of WHICH database?

If you mean the concept and design of SQL 2000, SQL 2000 is a RDMS engine.
It is not the database itself. It's the engine that allows you to create
and use databases. It has tools to manage this, but it does not provide a
method of creating user interfaces like say MS Access does.

I think a couple of the key concepts are understanding what an RDBMS is (and
how it differs from say a flat file DB) and the concept of ACID.

I suggest starting there.

Most books go directly in to details.

Why is it, Microsoft manage to write operating systems and office applications with every bell and whistle facility known to man. Yet, even after years and years of development they still cannot produce a decent version of MS SQL Server, one without a plethora of flaws and limitations? Today I need to copy 8 records in a table. I have to use Access 200 because of the limitation of Enterprise Manager's inability to cope with field with more than 900 characters. Selected records, cut, paste. I got an erroor message about not being able to have a null Key_ID (I copied the reords and tried to paste the Key_ID as part of the records - normally I hide the Key_ID). Now I can't access either the new records or the originals...

The concept should be the same that the stored procedures execute in the database server with better performance? Please advise good references for Oracle stored procedures also. thanks!!

Hi, My project is .Net 1.1 C# Windows Form project, and the database server is SQL Server 2000. In one of the database's datatable MyTable, the Primary Key is a Join Key . Now in my C# Windows form MyForm, it is designed mainly for manipulating the datatable MyTable. I am thinking if we apply the OO concept, do we need to have public function like:

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
