Is there a specific path I can follow to upsize my access 2000 database
which has:
20 tables - mixture of primary and foreign tables
20 queries (action, select etc)
Built on top of this access database is a set of front-end ASP pages and
backend administration pages using a combination of stored queries etc.
I am very hesitant about the whole process as I have just my application

In general, can I just use the Connection feature in an MS Access ADP
project (File>Connection) to set my connection once and forever to the
SQL Server for my ADP Project and then just distribute it to my
clients?
Is this the right way to do this?
Any help is appreciated.

For the past several projects, I have been using an Access 2000 .adp file to
create and manage the database on the remote SQL Server. It has worked very
well for me and is a very fast, simple way to take care of minor updates.
A new project is not going so well, though. No matter what I try, I can not
get a connection established. This project is on a server I do not control,
so I am having to work only with the information provided to...

My name is Mario Crevits, I'm from Belgium (Roeselare) and I'm working with
Access97 for several years now. We are in an Access97-2000 migration
project. I'm writing a wizard for the end-users to automatically find and
convert their Access97 databases on a specific drive.
I want to convert the databases through VBA :
1. create an empty Access2000
2. set the right properties and references
3. import the objects (tables, queries,...

I want to use an Access 2000 database to power my .ASP web pages. Typical
example would be somebody filling in a form on the web page and saving it to
the database when they click a 'Submit' button. There is also readonly
stuff like list pages and search results which of course get their content
from SQL queries.
Now, I'm expecting at most 10 simultaneous users. But will my Access
database cope if it goes any higher? What if 100...

I've split a rather large Access2000 database that resides on a network
drive, by keeping the back-end on the network drive and placing the
front-end on the client's hard drive, linked to it. Both front-end and
back-end dbs are then compacted to save space.
This is a normal procedure, but when I run the database now it performs
much, much slower than the old unsplit version of the database, which is
unacceptable. I have had to back off...

How to deal with a VBA-project that is damaged?
Hi everyone.
I am BigOlle from sweden and I have been working with Accees for ten
years
I am now working on a project that started in Access97 and since a few
months it continues in Access2000.
My plan is to use Access2000 as it is supposed that mdb-files in
Access 2000-format can be opened from all Access versions after that

Hi
Have just installed IIS7 on Vista and am trying to access a .mdb file
through ASP. Getting server error.
I think the problem is in the file permission. Under XP Pro/IIS6 is used to
have to set the .mdb file security via windows explorer to give
IUSR_machinename full permissions on this file for anonymous web access.
Cant seem to do this with Vista explorer - says object cannot be found.

Hi all,
how can I execute a large amount of DDL Queries on Access 2000?
I've a DDl/SQL Script file which defines a data structure with CREATE
TABLE, ALTER TABLE UPDATE TABLE, etc. etc.
I know how to execute this script on MySQL, MS Sql Server, but don't
know how execute it on access 2000 :(
Thank you all.

I am developing an application in MS Access2000 - back-end database MS SQL 2000.
When the application starts up, it refreshes link to backend like:
ConnectStr = "ODBC;dsn=rd_venteliste;UID=xxx;PWD=yyy;DATABASE=Venteliste"
For Each t In CurrentDb.TableDefs
If t.SourceTableName <> "" Then
t.Connect = ConnectStr
t.RefreshLink
End If

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
