Hi! I read an dBase table under Win XP by the common dBase functions of PHP 4.3.5. But all records are displayd with a wrong charset. All umlauts of the databasefile like "öäüéô"... and so on are not displayed or are displayed in a wrong way! :-( How can I set the correct charset for the table, that all umlauts keep save?

IN my code behind .vb page for a delete records script (this also does a deletion confirmation with a javascript popup, this gets called on my front .aspx page with the datagrid), I'm not sure if he row.delete() in my Delete_Row sub is correct because when deleting a record from the dbase, it doesnot get deleted from the actual database, even tho on the datagrid it does show that the record is deleted: '''''''''''''

Does the liscense for the VC++.Net 2003 allow the user to purchase a downgrade to VC++.NET 2002? DO I need to buy a standard version of VC++.NET to downgrade? I need to get VC++ 2002, but I can't find it locally. Downgrading is an option, but if the DLE licesnse doen't allow me to downgrade I will have to keep looking for a standard version.

To insert a record in a Ms Access database and be able to retrieve the newly created ID (autonumber) I used the code below (code 1). Now, the problem is that this is not very secure and that, if for example an insertion contains a ' or a " this code fails. It is much better to work with @parameters. So could someone change my code to make it work with @parameters and

Hello, I need to import data from a excel file into a SQL Server. I would like to provide an asp.net interface for that purpose. What would be the best to do that? A simple textarea where the user can insert his data and press the import button? The excel will be a csv file and some values can be also empty or null. Pleas advise me. Thanks

I'm new to this group. In my company in Japan, we have been using dbase for almost 20 years, and we are now switching to foxpro. Dose anybody here has experience in converting dbase programs from Dbase to Foxpro ones? It seems the data conversion is not hard. But we have hundreds of dbase programs that need to be converted to foxpro ones. Could you please give me some advice? And here special tools for this?

I am trying to figure out how to query some data out of a dbase IV (.dbf) file sitting on a remote server from my MySQL/PHP/Web Server. Both servers are Windows Server 2003 SP2. My MySQL/PHP/Web server is running PHP 4.3.11, MySQL 4.0.24, and IIS. I have set a system DSN on the remote machine for the directory that contains the dbase file. The DSN name is SASIxp, and the actual file I'm trying to connect to is ADST.DBF.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
